Opened in 1997 as the premier rugby and football venue on Auckland’s North Shore, the 25,000-capacity stadium has been transformed into a facility capable of hosting premier quality baseball in 2019.
The world class venue signed a long-term agreement to become the home of the Auckland Tuatara franchise with the first Australian Baseball League match taking place there on 21 November 2019 against the Perth Heat.
Featuring premium quality changing facilities, medical room, media housing and corporate entertainment options, North Harbour Stadium immediately became the leading venue in the ABL. It was voted by ABL players as the league’s best facility in the annual 2020 players’ poll.
